PTI’s local leader Dr. Shahid Siddique was killed after offering Friday prayers.
According to the police, founder member of PTI, Dr. Shahid Siddique, was killed outside the mosque after offering Friday prayers in Valencia Town. The deceased was also the owner of a private hospital.
After the incident, the police took the body into custody shifted it to the hospital, and started the investigation by collecting the evidence from the spot. Unknown assailants shot 4 bullets at Dr. Shahid Siddique.
The police say that the incident will be investigated keeping in mind various aspects including target killing. At the time of the attack, Dr. Shahid Siddique’s son and the driver were also with them and they were safe.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the incident asked for a report from the DIG Operations, and ordered the immediate arrest of the accused involved in the firing.
IG Punjab said that Punjab Police should use all resources to arrest the accused.
