Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a record-breaking surge as the benchmark KSE-100 Index hit an all-time high at the start of trading. The index jumped by 739 points, reaching 156,827 points.
A day earlier, the market experienced a historic session, with the KSE-100 Index closing at 156,087 after gaining 1,810 points. During the day, the index touched its highest level at 156,199 points.
According to the Exchange Companies Association, the Pakistani rupee strengthened slightly in the interbank market, with the dollar slipping by 10 paisas to trade at Rs281.52.
