Prime Minister’s Eid Greetings to Leaders of Various Muslim Countries

Islamabad: On Eid al-Adha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt Eid greetings to President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the people of Iran, and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Referring to his recent visit to Tehran, Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s desire to deepen bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The leaders also discussed regional and global developments, including the recent Pakistan–India crisis and the situation in Gaza. The Prime Minister invited President Pezeshkian to make a state visit to Pakistan.

PM connects with President Zardari to exchange Eid greetings, discuss national matters

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned President Asif Ali Zardari to extend Eid al-Adha wishes. President Zardari thanked the prime minister and reciprocated the greetings. The two leaders discussed the overall political situation and various national issues during the call.

PM speaks with Uzbekistan’s president, exchanges Eid greetings and pledges closer ties

On Eid al-Adha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke by phone with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The PM conveyed Eid greetings to Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan and prayed for the unity and prosperity of the Ummah. He thanked him for Uzbekistan’s balanced stance during the recent Pakistan–India tensions and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace. Both leaders expressed satisfaction with positive bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared goal of enhancing cooperation across various fields, particularly regional connectivity. PM Sharif also anticipated President Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Pakistan. Multilateral cooperation, especially within ECO and SCO, was also discussed. President Mirziyoyev thanked the PM and conveyed Eid greetings to the people of Pakistan, commending Pakistan’s efforts for peace and security.

 PM speaks with Bahrain’s King on Eid, discusses regional peace and solidarity

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Eid al-Adha, offering warm greetings to the king and people of Bahrain. The leaders prayed for the unity, peace, and stability of the Muslim Ummah and the oppressed people of Gaza. The PM expressed gratitude for Bahrain’s balanced stance and support for peace during the recent Pakistan–India crisis. He reaffirmed the strong brotherly ties between Pakistan and Bahrain and invited the king for a state visit, which was accepted. King Hamad warmly thanked the PM and sent best wishes to the Pakistani people.

PM connects with Jordan’s King on Eid; discusses regional developments

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called King Abdullah II of Jordan on Eid al-Adha to exchange Eid greetings. Referring to their phone conversation at Eid al-Fitr two months earlier, the PM reiterated his commitment to strengthening Pakistan–Jordan bilateral relations. They also discussed the recent Pakistan–India tensions, regional peace and stability efforts, and the situation in Gaza. The PM underscored the importance of humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people and reiterated an invitation to King Abdullah II for a state visit to Pakistan.

PM phones Kuwait’s Crown Prince to exchange Eid greetings, discuss cooperation

On Eid al-Adha, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif telephoned Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to extend Eid greetings to him, Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the people of Kuwait. Both leaders prayed for the safety, prosperity, and unity of the Muslim Ummah. The PM thanked Kuwait’s Crown Prince for his country’s balanced and peace-oriented position during the recent Pakistan–India tensions. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace. He highlighted the need to enhance economic, trade, and investment cooperation and sincerely appreciated Kuwait’s relaxation of visa requirements for Pakistanis, which would boost skilled workforce mobility and strengthen people-to-people ties. Recalling their Eid al-Fitr conversation, the PM reiterated his invitation for a state visit to Pakistan, which the Crown Prince accepted. Sheikh Sabah warmly reciprocated, sent Eid greetings to the Pakistani people, and praised the positive contributions of Pakistanis in Kuwait. Both committed to deepening bilateral relations.

PM conveys Eid greetings to Egypt’s President Sisi, reaffirms enhanced collaboration

 Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt on Eid al-Adha to extend his sincere greetings to him, the Egyptian government, and people. He appreciated Egypt’s constructive role and efforts for peace during the recent Pakistan–India crisis. The leaders also discussed developments in the Middle East. Referring to his visit to Cairo during last December’s D‑8 summit, the PM reaffirmed Pakistan’s intent to strengthen friendly relations. He emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, healthcare, and other sectors. President el-Sisi warmly reciprocated the Eid greetings, extended best wishes to the Pakistani people, and commended Pakistan’s contributions to peace in South Asia.
