Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Meets AJK Negotiation Committee

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with the government’s Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Negotiation Committee in Islamabad following the successful conclusion of talks in AJK.

The meeting was attended by Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Ahad Khan Cheema, and Chairman Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.

The Prime Minister commended the committee’s efforts, saying that resolving matters in Kashmir through dialogue and understanding was highly commendable. He also appreciated the positive role of the Joint Action Committee, which demonstrated maturity and a commitment to the development and stability of Kashmir.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that all issues in Kashmir have been resolved amicably, and all concerns of the Kashmiri people will be addressed. The government, he added, will continue practical measures to solve the problems of their Kashmiri brothers.

He emphasized that public welfare and peace are top priorities, and the government will continue serving the people of AJK. “We have always been protectors of the rights of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and will continue to safeguard their rights in the future as well,” he reaffirmed.

The Prime Minister further said that the government will continue taking steps in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people to ensure their progress and prosperity.
