President Zardari Arrives in Quetta for Key Security Briefing

President Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Quetta for a crucial one-day visit.

According to sources, the President will be briefed on the overall situation in Balochistan, including law and order.

He will also meet with parliamentarians and local dignitaries to discuss security matters.

It is noteworthy that following the attack on the Jaffer Express in the Bolan region of Balochistan, an in-camera session of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security was held yesterday at the Parliament House. In this meeting, political and military leadership decided to take strict action against terrorists and extremists to eradicate terrorism from the country.

To assess the current national security situation, a session of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security was held today in Islamabad under the chairmanship of National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. The meeting lasted for over six hours.

At the conclusion of the session, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented a declaration stating that the committee strongly condemned recent terrorist attacks and expressed solidarity with the affected families.

The committee also appreciated the bravery and professionalism of security forces and law enforcement agencies in conducting counter-terrorism operations. It reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism in all its forms.
