A powerful explosion occurred near the convoy of Deputy Commissioner Kech, Major (R) Bashir Ahmed Badech, in the Turbat Bazaar, the headquarters of District Kech, on Monday. The blast left seven people injured, including six Levies personnel, while the Deputy Commissioner remained safe and unharmed.
According to initial reports, the explosive device was planted on a motorcycle and detonated as the Deputy Commissioner’s convoy was passing by.
Following the incident, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Balochistan team reached the site, cordoned off the area, and began collecting evidence. Security forces also launched a search operation in nearby areas to trace those involved.
The injured were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Turbat, where they are receiving medical treatment.
