Power Policy Must Boost Industry And Agriculture: PM
An important meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was held in Islamabad to review the Power Division’s reform package. The meeting focused on strengthening the industrial and agricultural sectors through the efficient use of electricity generation in the country.
The Prime Minister directed the Power Division to formulate a comprehensive and effective policy aimed at significantly boosting industrial output. He said that facilitating the agriculture and industrial sectors is among the top priorities of the government.
He further stated that the maximum and efficient use of electricity can lead to a significant increase in industrial products and agricultural production. The Power Division was also instructed to prepare recommendations to facilitate investors and industrialists.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahsan Iqbal, Advisor on Industry Haroon Akhtar, and other senior officials.
