PNS Aslat Conducts Counter-piracy Patrols Off Somali Coast
PNS Aslat conducted a counter-piracy patrol in support of Pakistan Navy-led Combined Task Force 151.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the patrol was conducted in the Arabian Sea off the eastern coast of Somalia.
The Pakistan Navy-led CTF-151 is taking effective measures in view of the threat of piracy off the Gulf of Aden and the eastern coast of Somalia.
The ISPR said that the objective of the counter-piracy patrol of PNS Aslat was to prevent piracy, armed robbery and other illegal activities.
The Pakistan Army said that the counter-piracy patrol of PNS Aslat reflects the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to ensuring the free flow of maritime trade in the region.
