PM’s Commerce Coordinator Stresses Ethical Trade at PITAD Conference
Coordinator to PM on Commerce Addresses Conference on Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for Modern Halal Economy
Islamabad – The Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce, Mr. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, attended as the Chief Guest at the conference titled “Ashra Rehmatu Lil Alamin Program” organized by the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD). The conference, held in observance of the blessed month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, focused on deriving lessons from the life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to guide ethical trade practices and the modern Halal economy.
In his keynote address, the coordinator emphasized the profound relevance of the Prophet’s teachings in contemporary commerce. He highlighted how the Prophet’s impeccable reputation as Al-Sadiq (The Truthful) and Al-Amin (The Trustworthy) laid the foundation for ethical business conduct. The life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offers a timeless blueprint for trade—one rooted in honesty, transparency, and mutual consent. In today’s global market, these values are not just moral imperatives; they are strategic assets that build trust and sustainable growth.
The coordinator reiterated the government’s commitment to integrating ethical principles into trade policy, urging trade officers, policymakers, and business leaders to champion fairness and integrity in all commercial dealings. The event concluded with a resolve to promote ethical trade frameworks that reflect Pakistan’s rich spiritual heritage and support its economic ambitions on the global stage.
