PM to announce five-year plan ‘Udan Pakistan’ tomorrow
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will announce the National Economic Transformation Plan 2024-29 tomorrow December 31.
According to the Ministry of Planning, Udan Pakistan will have a five-year national economic plan that will cover the period from 2024 to 2029.
The plan is based on valuable feedback from all stakeholders, including the public and private sectors, and aims to put Pakistan on the path of sustainable development.
The National Economic Transformation Plan (NETP), which is based on the 5E framework of (i) Exports;
(2) E-Pakistan; (iii) Environment and Climate Change; (iv) Energy and Infrastructure; and (v) Equality, Ethics, and Empowerment, will form the basis of the 13th Five Year Plan (2024-29).
According to sources, the federal government will increase exports to $60 billion annually by 2029 under this program and the number of IT graduates will be increased by thousands annually under the program.
Sources say that through Udan Pakistan, Pakistan is to be provided with the foundation of a $1 trillion economy 2035Underr this program, the literacy rate will be promoted and poverty will be reduced.
He said that special importance has been given to IT exports in this program.
