Shahbaz Sharif Vows to Crush Human Trafficking
Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has reiterated his resolve to completely eradicate the heinous business of human trafficking, saying that the elements involved in this crime are responsible for bringing disrepute to Pakistan and the loss of innocent lives.
The Prime Minister, while praising the performance of the FIA ​​and Intelligence Bureau officials in the arrest of Usman Jaja, the leader of the infamous “Jaja Gang”, announced a reward of Rs 1 million each to each officer and official.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the business of human trafficking is damaging Pakistan’s global image and every person involved in this heinous business will be severely punished.
He commended the arrest of the Jaja gang, saying that this criminal group was responsible for the loss of many innocent lives, especially the deaths of Pakistanis who died in the Greek boat accident.

The Prime Minister was briefed by the FIA ​​and the Intelligence Bureau on the ongoing operations against human trafficking,
in which it was informed that notorious smuggler Usman Jaja escaped from Sialkot jail and was hiding in Gilgit-Baltistan, from where he was arrested.

It should be noted that Usman Jaja was the main accused in the death of 40 Pakistanis during the Greek boat accident that occurred on December 14, 2024. At the time of the accident, he was imprisoned in Sialkot jail but later escaped and hid in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Prime Minister said that “everyone has to play their role to give Pakistan a respectable position on the global stage”
and directed state institutions to ensure the root cause of human trafficking networks is eradicated.
