PM Shehbaz to Modi: You Started It, We Finished It
Islamabad: A grand national ceremony titled “Day of Gratitude” was held at Shakarparian, Islamabad, to celebrate Pakistan’s resounding success in Operation Bunyane Mursoos. Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended the event as the chief guest.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by special prayers for the martyrs, and the peace, progress, and stability of the country. Pakistan Air Force showcased a spectacular airshow and fly-past, while patriotic songs filled the air, uplifting the spirits of the audience.
Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated:
“We salute the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. With the grace of Allah, the prayers of the nation, and the unmatched courage of our armed forces, today we are victorious. Pakistan’s forces have shattered the enemy’s arrogance.”
Referring to past tragedies, he said:
“In 1971, the nation endured a heart-wrenching crisis, but today, Alhamdulillah, we stand triumphant with unwavering resolve.”
He criticized India for rejecting impartial global investigations into the Pulwama incident and condemned their aggression, which targeted innocent civilians, including children.
The ceremony was attended by federal ministers, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, services chiefs, foreign diplomats, and civil and military officials. The crowd enthusiastically chanted “Pakistan Zindabad” as fighter jets roared across the sky.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this victory is not just a military triumph but a symbol of national unity and the supremacy of truth over falsehood.
