PM Shahbaz Meeting With His Chinese counterpart

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif meeting with his Chinese counterpart
The Prime Minister met with his Chinese counterpart Li Chiang along with his delegation.

Cabinet members were also present at the Prime Minister’s meeting with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People. Upon arrival at the Great Hall of the People, a welcome ceremony was held in honor of the Prime Minister and a guard of honor was presented to him by a contingent of the People’s Liberation Army.

In the meeting, the two leaders discussed bilateral relations, issues of mutual interest and regional and global developments. The two leaders expressed satisfaction that the Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, which is based on mutual trust and common principles, is getting stronger with time.
The meeting also reiterated unwavering support on important issues and emphasized the need for timely completion of all ongoing projects with a special focus on Special Economic Zones. The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to ensure the safety of Chinese nationals and projects in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Li congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for being elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.

During the event, memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed between the two countries to further strengthen cooperation in television, film, transport infrastructure, industry, energy, agriculture, health, social, and economic development and other areas of mutual interest.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Li Chiang hosted a luncheon in honor of the Prime Minister.
