PM Orders Third-Party Audit: Is the Ramadan Package Transparent?
ISLAMABAD: A high level meeting was held on the Ramadan Relief Package 2025 chaired by the Prime Minister, in which the process of delivery and transparency was reviewed to the needy.
The Prime Minister said at the meeting that the Ramadan package has been introduced without discrimination for the entire Pakistan, including GGilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir so that all citizens can benefit from it equally.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the State Bank, NADRA and tech institutions to ensure the transparency of the Ramadan relief package,e, and directed it to conduct a third-party audit,
There was an order to make telecom companies and banks more effectiveinn raising awareness among the public.
According to the briefing given at the meeting, 63 % of the beneficiaries have been delivered so far under the Ramadan Relief package, while the details of all these persons have been completely saved, so as to ensure transparency.
The meeting was informed that more than 1.5 million beneficiaries have been informed by telephone calls so far under the Ramadan Relief Package,
However, 2224 government employees are working on the task so that there is no interruption to the delivery of aid.
The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Information Minister Attaullah Tarard, IT Shiza Fatima, Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik, Prime Minister’s Assistant Haroon Akhtar, Chairman Nadra, Chairman PTA and other officials.
