PM Orders Smart Boards in All Danish Schools

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on the construction of 15 new Danish Schools and the Danish University across Pakistan.

He directed the authorities to accelerate construction work on ongoing projects and ensure top-quality standards through third-party validation. The Prime Minister emphasized that Danish Schools and the Danish universities are among the government’s priority initiatives aimed at providing quality education to talented and underprivileged students across the country.

PM Shehbaz instructed the installation of smart boards in all classrooms and the establishment of digital libraries in every Danish School. He further emphasized that the recruitment process for teachers must be fully merit-based and transparent, with preference given to local educators in the respective regions.

The Prime Minister also called for proposals regarding the establishment of a Danish Authority.

Briefings during the meeting highlighted that:

  • 41% work on the Danish School Islamabad has been completed and is set to finish by December 2025.

  • Danish Schools in Gilgit-Baltistan (Sultanabad, Ghanche, and Astore) will be completed by June 30, 2026.

  • Bhimber and Bagh campuses are expected to be completed by June 2026.

  • Feasibility and design for Danish Schools in Sharda, Sibi, Musa Khel, and Zhob have been finalized.

  • Land acquisition processes are underway for schools in Hub, Karachi, and Chitral.

  • The federal cabinet has already approved land allocation for the Danish University.

The meeting also approved initiating the process of hiring expert consultants for the university’s feasibility and design pre-qualification.

Federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Ahad Khan Cheema, the chief secretaries of all provinces, and senior government officials attended the session.
