Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has met with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa to discuss allegations made by six judges at the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The judges claim that the country’s intelligence agencies have interfered in judicial matters. The prime minister was accompanied by the attorney general and law minister, and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah was also present during the meeting. Following the meeting, the Chief Justice called a full court session. The meeting lasted for about an hour and 20 minutes, and sources say that it took place in the Chief Justice’s chamber.
The most senior judges of the Supreme Court, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Prime Minister of Law Nazir Tarar, and Attorney General Mansoor Usman also participated.
