Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif attended the funeral prayer of Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, who was martyred in the Lucky Marwat terrorist attack in Kasur on Monday. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif also shouldered the dead body of Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas. Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar, Inspector General Punjab & other senior civil and military officers and soldiers also participated.
The Prime Minister later expressed his condolences to the family members of Captain Faraz Ilyas Shaheed. Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif declared the village of the martyr to be a model village and gave orders to name the village after Faraz Ilyas Shaheed. He said that the nation is proud of its brave descendants, cowardly terrorists will not be able to shake our determination to establish peace. Do not call martyrs dead, they are alive
Shaheed Captain Faraz Ilyas will bring forgiveness to his family. He said that thousands of soldiers of the Pakistan Army sacrificed their lives. I assure you that the martyr’s great sacrifice will not go in vain. Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif said that we cannot forget the sacrifices of those who gave their lives for the country’s sake.
Later, Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas, who was martyred in the Lakki Marwat attack, was buried with full military honors. The Prime Minister visited the martyr’s grave, recited Fatiha, placed flowers on the grave & prayed for the high status of the martyr. 26-year-old Shaheed Captain Muhammad Faraz Ilyas from Rai Kalan village of Qasor performed duties near Lucky Marwat. Jam was martyred by showing courage and bravery in an IED attack while paying.
