Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reached Quetta on a one-day visit to establish peace and order in Balochistan.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti was welcomed at the airport while Speaker Balochistan Assembly Abdul Khaliq Achakzai was also present at the airport for the reception.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were also present along with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
The Prime Minister will review the overall security situation of Balochistan in Quetta while also participating in the Apex Committee meeting.
The Army Chief and heads of intelligence agencies are expected to attend the Apex Committee meeting.
Apart from this, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, and provincial ministers will attend. The Prime Minister will be briefed on the latest situation in the province.
It should be noted that a few days ago, during various terrorist incidents in Balochistan, around 50 people, including soldiers, were martyred.
