Prime Minister announces the establishment of ‘Rad-ul-Fasaad Force‘
To make the federal capital Islamabad a cradle of law and order and to prevent miscreants, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced the establishment of a new anti-riot force, " Rad-ul-Fasaad Force"
A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief General Asim Munir, Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Ahad Cheema, Maryam Nawaz, Atta Tarar, Rana Sanaullah, and Maryam Aurangzeb, as well as other senior officials. The meeting established the Rad-ul-Fasaad Force to protect Islamabad from miscreants and establish law and order.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the new force aims to identify miscreants take effective action against them, and make Islamabad safe.
A special task force has been formed under the leadership of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, which will include Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar, Minister for Information Atta Tarar, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheem, and representatives of the security forces.
The statement said that the task force will identify those involved in the November 24 incidents and work to punish them according to the law.
The Prime Minister also approved the establishment of a forensic lab that will collect evidence and speed up investigations through modern technology.
The meeting also decided to develop the Islamabad Safe City project on modern lines so that effective monitoring is possible to prevent mischief in the federal capital. Steps will also be taken to strengthen the Federal Prosecution Service and increase its manpower.
Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he strongly criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), saying that a group from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sabotaged Islamabad. It is not a political party but a group of sedition and chaos.
He further said that from the 2014 sit-ins to November 24, the PTI’s actions caused irreparable damage to the country’s economy.
Protests and sit-ins cost the country Rs 900 billion a day. Now is the time to end this sabotage once and for all.
It should be noted that the PTI had announced a protest in Islamabad on November 24, led by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
During the protest, clashes broke out between the police and PTI workers while they were trying to enter Islamabad, in which several people were injured.
It should be noted that the Prime Minister announced that the anti-riot force would be given professional training as per international standards and equipped with modern equipment.
