Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again invited Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for dialogue, making it clear that the government is ready for negotiations if the opposition is serious, but talks cannot be held under illegal demands or blackmail.
Speaking during a federal cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister said that PTI and its allies have recently been talking about dialogue. If they are genuinely willing to engage in serious negotiations, the Government of Pakistan is also prepared to sit at the table. However, he stressed that only legitimate and constitutional matters can be discussed.
He reiterated that he has repeatedly stated in parliament that dialogue in the national interest is possible, but pressure tactics, unlawful demands, and blackmail will not be tolerated.
The Prime Minister further said that political harmony among all parties is essential for Pakistan’s development, stability, and prosperity.
