Phone Charger Kills 7 Members Of Same Family
A tragic incident occurred in the eastern Al-Ahsa Governorate of Saudi Arabia, in which seven members of the same family died.
According to a report by Al-Arabiya, seven members of the same family died when a mobile phone charger exploded in Saudi Arabia.
Haider Al-Hassan, a relative of the victims, told the media that the fire broke out when a mobile phone charger melted, which set the sofas in the room on fire.
When son Hassan learned of the fire, he informed his uncle Basil, who tried to act quickly by bringing water to extinguish the fire, but he did not realize the seriousness of the situation and the rapid growth of the fire.
Al-Hassan added that the father, Hussein Al-Jibran, saw heavy smoke rising and opened the doors in an attempt to save his family, but he lost his balance and fell. Son Basil managed to help them and managed to get his father and mother out of the house. The son went into the rooms to save others but then did not come out again.
He pointed out that the toxic smoke quickly spread inside the house and spread to closed rooms, causing three people to die instantly due to asphyxiation.
Four people died later. Not all the victims died of burns but only from asphyxiation from the toxic smoke.
Haiderul Hassan confirmed that the Civil Defense responded immediately to the accident and tried to extinguish the fire and rescue the survivors, but the damage had already been done.
Haiderul Hassan stressed the importance of extinguishing the fire immediately in such situations and avoiding random attempts to extinguish it.
