Phander Valley: Pakistan’s Enchanting Beauty Land

Hundarap Valley

In addition, the valley is renowned as a trout fishing haven and for its lakes. About 190 kilometers separate Hundarap Valley from Gilgit and 118 kilometers from Gakuch. It is 10,800 feet above sea level as well. Lake Hundarap is reachable by foot from the Dadaliri Pass to the south.

Trout fishing is the main attraction in Phander, and many residents are avid anglers. On the route from Gilgit to Sandur, beekeepers form a line; their honey is damp. If you get the chance, many people in the area are friendly and will invite you to sip lots of tea. Tea pairs well with homemade bread and boiled eggs because the latter are already cooked in the tea!
