Petrol Price Hiked by Rs1 per Litre
The federal government has announced adjustments in the prices of petroleum products. According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs.1 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel remains unchanged.
As per the notification issued by the Finance Ministry, the new price of petrol is set at Rs. 253.63 per litre, whereas diesel will continue to be sold at Rs. 254.64 per litre. These revised prices will come into effect from midnight tonight.
It is noteworthy that on May 16, the government had maintained the petrol price while reducing the price of high-speed diesel by Rs. 2 per litre.
