A lawyer named Usman Gul Advocate has requested the Islamabad High Court to allow Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and his wife Bushra Bibi to meet on Eid-ul-Fitr. Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court heard the petition filed by the lawyer to implement the court’s decision to allow Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan to meet in Adiala Jail. During the hearing, Justice Miangul Hassan stated that the jail meeting request had been disposed of with instructions.
Usman Gul Advocate replied that he had applied for the implementation of the same court order. Justice Miangul further stated that if the order is not followed, a contempt of court petition can be filed, and the court will take action as court orders cannot be ignored. The lawyer requested that Bushra Bibi and the PTI founder should be allowed to meet on Eid, and it is at the discretion of the jail authorities to set an appointment. Justice Mian adjourned the hearing until the Advocate General Islamabad arrived.
