Pakistan’s Historic Cyber Attack on India: 1.5 Million Hacks Exposed
India has finally admitted to a systematic and large-scale cyber attack by Pakistan.
According to Indian officials, Pakistani hackers carried out the largest cyber attacks ever on India’s sensitive infrastructure, the number of which exceeded 1.5 million.
According to Indian media, a recent report by the Maharashtra Cyber ​​Cell has revealed that these cyber attacks began after the ceasefire, and seven organized and sophisticated APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) groups were active behind them.
According to the report, these attacks received support from Pakistan as well as Bangladesh, the Middle East, and Indonesia.
The institutions targeted by the cyber attacks include India’s power plants, government departments, the Election Commission of India, and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
According to officials, these attacks affected 70% of India’s power grid system, resulting in several parts of the country being plunged into darkness and power infrastructure being disrupted.
Moreover, several sensitive government and defense websites were hacked, and data was deleted, and important information was leaked.
The report said these cyber attacks were carried out with great coordination and technical expertise, severely challenging Indian cybersecurity systems.
Additional DGP of Maharashtra Cyber ​​Cell, Yashasvi Yadav, confirmed that these attacks have shaken India’s digital sovereignty.
Cybersecurity experts say that these attacks are being described as the biggest cyberattacks in the history of South Asia, which have highlighted Pakistan’s cyber capabilities on the global stage.
