Lahore: The interim coach of the national cricket team, Aqib Javed, announced the T20 and ODI squads for the series against New Zealand. On this occasion, he revealed great decisions at a press conference that may surprise cricket fans.

In a major change in Pakistani cricket, Salman Ali Agha was given the leadership of the T20 team, while Shadab Khan has been appointed as the vice-captain.

The 15-member ODI squad includes Muhammad Rizwan (captain), Salman Ali Agha (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafiq, Abrar Ahmed, Akif Javed, Faheem Ashraf, Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Muhammad Irfan Khan, Muhammad Ali, Naseem Shah, Sufyan Muqim and Tayyab Tahir.
Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub out of the team
Openers Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub have been left out of the squad for both formats on medical advice.
