Pakistani tea fanatics have spent $540 million on the import of tea in the last 10 months. According to the details, in the 10 months of this fiscal year, Pakistanis spent 547.4 million dollars on the import of tea, which is 17 percent more than the previous fiscal year. Spent 547.4 million dollars on import, tea worth 467.6 million dollars was imported in 10 months of the last financial year.
The report further states that 219 thousand 66 tons of tea was imported with a 15 percent increase in 10 months of this fiscal year, 190 thousand 830 tons of tea were imported in 10 months of the last financial year, compared to March 24 in April. Tea import decreased by 10% on April 24, when tea worth 5 crore 22 million dollars was imported, and on March 24, tea worth 5 crore 85 million dollars was imported.
