Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms, and Special Measures Ahsan Iqbal has said that artificial intelligence in the world is not the future but the present reality.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting on artificial intelligence on Friday. He said that the Muslim League (N) government established the National Center for Artificial Intelligence in 2017, and the National Center for Artificial Intelligence in 2023. A task force was established.
We have created National Centers for Excellence in Advanced Technologies under Vision 2025 and linked each center with engineering labs of eight to ten universities. Had these centers not been established on time, we would have lagged.
Ahsan Iqbal said that the task force should complete consultations with all stakeholders in a month, and the final policy of artificial intelligence will be submitted to the cabinet for approval in August.
Due to the lack of continuity of politicians in Pakistan, development policies are always hindered, under a conspiracy, the self-confidence of the nation has been destroyed. He said that the nation was presented as thieves and bandits while The identity of the Pakistani nation is its intelligence and hard work, when CPEC was started in 2013, sit-ins also started. Despite putting obstacles in the way of CPEC, an investment of 25 billion dollars in the country came to Pakistan.
He said that whenever Pakistan starts running economically, our way is blocked, now CPEC phase two is starting, then the roles of riot and anarchy have become active again.
He said that China has promised to give IT training to 200,000 Pakistani youths during the Prime Minister’s visit to China. The Ministry of Education of China is ready to support the training of our youth. There is rapid development in various aspects.
He said that some countries are not giving visas to Pakistani students for education in modern technology, but we will get modern technology at any cost, the suggestions of this task force should be shared with other provinces.
Revolutionary results will be obtained from artificial intelligence in the fields of health, education, finance, and agriculture. Soon experts from all over Pakistan will be invited to participate in a National Conference on Artificial Intelligence.
He said that this is the reason why the youth of Pakistan cannot create successful platforms like social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter.
A political party is teaching the youth the negative use of artificial intelligence, recently the character of women was destroyed by artificial intelligence, and we will use artificial intelligence not for character destruction but for national development.
Pakistan will emerge as an IT and information power in the world. The Ministry of Education, Ministry of Information Technology, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and private companies are being invited to ensure the implementation of the recommendations of the task force.
