Pakistan Vows to Defend Sovereignty Against Indian Provocations
Deep concern was expressed at the Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by Army Chief General Asim Munir, over India’s aggressive behavior and ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
The forum reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity and made it clear that any attempt to impose war would be met with a full and decisive response.
According to the ISPR, the meeting took a comprehensive review of the Pak-India tension and the overall security of the region.
The Army Chief praised the professionalism, high morale, le and complete operational preparedness of the armed forces and said that Pakistan’s armed forces are always ready to defend the homeland alongside the nation.
The forum expressed grave concern over the continued targeting of innocent civilians by Indian forces on the Line of Control after the Pahalgam incident and said that the inhuman and unprovoked actions of the Indian forces are fueling regional tensions, which will be responded to effectively and appropriately.
The participants of the meeting also expressed concern over India’s practice of creating self-created crises to achieve political and military objectives.
The statement said that India has been creating a drama of external threats under the established procedure to hide internal failures, as in 2019, the status of occupied Kashmir was unilaterally changed by abrogating Article 3based on the Pulwama incident.
The conference also emphasized that the Pahalgam incident is actually an attempt to divert attention from Pakistan’s western border and economic revival, as Pakistan is on the path of decisive progress on both these fronts.
The forum said that India’s attempts to sabotage the Indus Waters Treaty and violate Pakistan’s legitimate water rights are dangerous for the region.
Using water as a weapon is not only harmful to Pakistan’s 240 million population but will also affect peace and stability in South Asia.
The participants also expressed grave concern over India’s use of terrorist proxies and the undeniable evidence of the involvement of Indian military and intelligence agencies in terrorist activities in Pakistan. These actions were termed as a clear violation of international law carried out under the auspices of the state.
The Corps Commanders’ Conference emphasized that Pakistan’s journey towards peace, stability, and development cannot be stopped by any internal or external coercion, aggression, or terrorism.
Deliberate attempts at destabilization by India will be thwarted through national resolve and concrete actions.
Finally, the Army Chief expressed full confidence in the operational readiness and high morale of all formations and strategic forces.
