Pakistan UK Discuss Defence & Regional Security Cooperation

 The Chief of the General Staff of the British Army, General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Pakistan Army, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation, and ways to enhance defence cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.

Both sides emphasized the need for continued collaboration to ensure peace and stability in the region.

During the meeting, the visiting British Army Chief appreciated Pakistan Army’s sacrifices and achievements in the fight against terrorism, as well as Pakistan’s vital role in promoting regional peace.

Earlier, General Sir Charles Walker laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and paid tribute to the fallen heroes. He was later presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army.
