Pakistan, Turkey Ink 24 Deals, Set $5B Trade Goal.

Pakistan and Turkey signed 24 agreements and MoUs related to trade, defense, energy, science, information, and finance, while it was agreed to increase the trade volume to $ 5 billion.

According to Express News, a ceremony was held in this regard at the Prime Minister’s House in which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, federal ministers of trade, defense, science, and other departments of both countries and high officials attended.

Twenty-four agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed between the two countries in the ceremony. On this occasion, the Pakistani and Turkish ministers of each ministry were called on the stage in turn, and the two ministers exchanged documents of the agreements and MoUs.

A joint statement of the seventh meeting of the Turkey-Pakistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council was issued, in which the details of the agreements and MoUs were released.

A document was exchanged regarding the agreement to increase trade in goods. A  Memorandum of Understanding was signed on cooperation in industrial property. MoU was signed on digitization of verification of origin certificates used in trade.

MoU was signed on the exchange of military and civilian personnel for social and cultural purposes; the MoU was signed on Air Force Electronic Warfare, and the Protocol on training and cooperation in the field of military health was agreed upon.

MoU was signed between the Secretariat of Defense Industries of Turkey and the Ministry of Defense Production of Pakistan. MoU was signed between the Aerospace Industries of Turkey and the Naval Research and Development Institute,

Pakistan, MoU was signed on cooperation in the field of halal trade and the establishment of legal metrology infrastructure.

A cooperation agreement was signed on the production of agricultural seeds, an amendment to the cooperation agreement between Pakistan and Turkey in the field of hydrocarbons, and an MoU was signed in the field of energy transition.

MoUs were signed in the mining sector, the water sector, the public relations, and communication sectors, an MoU was signed on cooperation in the media and communication sectors

, an agreement on cooperation in the cultural sector, an agreement onthe  co-production of audio-visual services, and MoUs were signed on technical cooperation in the health and pharmaceutical sectors, including cooperation in the fields of religious services and religious education.
