Pakistan Strikes Back at Afghan Border, Over 200 Taliban Killed, 23 Soldiers Martyred

Quetta: The Pakistan Army carried out a strong retaliatory operation in response to unprovoked firing from the Afghan side, killing over 200 Taliban and affiliated terrorists and injuring many others, while 23 brave Pakistani soldiers were martyred. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij launched unprovoked attacks along the border at night, aiming to destabilize border areas and facilitate terrorism. The ISPR spokesperson stated that vigilant Pakistani forces decisively repelled the attacks, inflicting heavy losses on Taliban and extremist forces. The counter-operation included firing, raids, and strikes on Taliban camps, posts, and training centers, with all measures taken to protect civilian lives and minimize collateral damage. The statement added that 21 enemy posts along the Afghan border were captured, and multiple Taliban hideouts, training camps, and the organizational infrastructure of terrorist groups were destroyed. During the clashes, 29 Pakistani soldiers were injured. The ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain ever-ready to safeguard the nation, its people, and territorial integrity, with a steadfast resolve to defeat any threats to national security. The spokesperson further stated that Pakistan prefers constructive diplomacy and dialogue over violence, but will not tolerate the use of Afghan territory for terrorism against Pakistan. The Taliban government has been urged to take immediate and verifiable action against Fitna al-Khawarij, ISIS, and other terrorist organizations. The ISPR warned that if the Taliban government continues to collaborate with India in supporting terrorist networks, Pakistan will remain vigilant until terrorism is completely eradicated from Afghanistan.
