Pakistan Slams India At UN, Rejects Kashmir Claims

Pakistan has delivered a firm and unequivocal message to India at the United Nations, stating that Jammu and Kashmir was never a part of India and will never be so in the future.

Responding to the statement made by the Indian representative during a meeting of the UN Security Council, Pakistan’s Counsellor Gul Qaiser Sarwani rejected India’s claims and said that the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir cannot be altered through unilateral statements.

He emphasized that Jammu and Kashmir remains an unresolved international dispute and must be settled in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

The Pakistani Counsellor accused India of openly sponsoring terrorism and said that India’s repeated aggressive actions against Pakistan reflect a “rogue state mindset.” He informed the Security Council that there is irrefutable evidence proving India’s support for terrorist organizations such as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which have been involved in terrorist attacks inside Pakistan.

Gul Qaiser Sarwani stated that India’s continuous aggression against Pakistan constitutes a clear violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, urging the international community to take serious notice of India’s conduct.

Commenting on India’s statements regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, the Pakistani representative said that India is deliberately distorting facts and misinterpreting an international agreement. He clarified that the Indus Waters Treaty does not allow for unilateral suspension or amendment of any of its provisions.

He called upon the international community to hold India accountable for its irresponsible behavior and to play its role in ensuring peace and stability in the region.
