Pakistan Seeks To Avoid Further Tension With Afghanistan: FO
Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrani has said that Pakistan does not want further escalation with Afghanistan and hopes that the Afghan government will not allow its soil to be used against Pakistan.
Addressing a weekly press briefing, the spokesperson said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by a high-level delegation, visited Saudi Arabia where he attended the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh.
During the visit, the Prime Minister met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a significant meeting with the Saudi Minister of Defense.
According to the spokesperson, the Pakistani delegation also held telephonic and in-person discussions with foreign ministers of various countries regarding bilateral relations and investment opportunities.
