Pakistan Release Hasan Ali Ahead Of First England T20I

Hasan Ali has been released from the Pakistan T20I squad before the first match against England. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced in a brief press release that Hasan’s release is to allow him to fulfill his commitments in county cricket. Initially, Hasan was included in the squad as an injury cover for Haris Rauf. Hasan’s release means that he won’t be part of the Pakistan squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. The squad composition has been finalized and Rauf’s fitness concerns have presumably been addressed.

The squad for the ICC T20 World Cup includes: Babar Azam (c), Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Rizwan, Irfan Khan, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Salman Agha, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Usman Khan

May 22: First T20I at Leeds
May 25: Second T20I at Birmingham
