Pakistan has expressed its readiness to become part of an international force aimed at restoring peace and stability in Gaza, diplomatic sources revealed. Discussions are reportedly underway at multiple levels regarding Pakistan’s potential participation in this global peace initiative.
According to diplomatic officials, Pakistan’s stance has always been rooted in the principle of supporting global peace, justice, and humanitarian protection — especially in times when oppressed nations are in dire need of assistance.
Security sources noted that the creation of a neutral and effective international force to protect and rehabilitate the people of Gaza has become a pressing necessity. Pakistan believes that extending practical help to the oppressed and ensuring their safety is one of the greatest services to humanity. If such a force is formed soon, it should include nations driven by genuine solidarity and compassion for the Palestinian people.
Pakistan has consistently stood at the forefront of international efforts to safeguard Palestinian rights, whether at the United Nations, OIC, International Court of Justice, or during Gaza peace plan discussions. It is among the eight Muslim countries that endorsed the Gaza peace initiative, calling for an end to genocide and reaffirming commitment to a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders.
A key element of the proposed plan is to deploy a neutral international force—not occupying troops—to ensure long-term peace and security in Gaza.
For over seven decades, Pakistan has been an active contributor to UN peacekeeping missions, playing a vital role in promoting international peace and stability. It continues to uphold its identity as a responsible, peaceful, and principled nation.
Security sources further added that if Pakistan, in collaboration with other Muslim nations, becomes part of an international force working to restore peace, deliver humanitarian aid, and assist in Gaza’s reconstruction, it would not only be a great honor but also a sacred national and humanitarian duty.
Pakistan remains steadfast in its unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and maintains that no alternative to the two-state solution is acceptable. The country firmly stands for the establishment of an independent, sovereign, and viable State of Palestine with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.
