The decision to close railway offices made to honour significance of the 10th of Moharram Ashura
Pakistan Railways has publicized the shutting of all railway offices across the country on July 17 in adherence to the 10th of Muharram, according to railway Officials.
Railway officials highlighted that after July 17, all railway reservation offices and other facilities will resume normal operations without any disturbance.
This decision is meant to allow railway staff to observe the day in accordance with religious backgrounds while confirming that services remain unaffected before and after the chosen closure date.
The federal government has notified public holidays on the 9th and 10th (Tuesday & Wednesday) of Muharram. The 9th of Muharram is to be noticeable on the 16th of July, while the 10th of Muharram is to be noticeable on July 17.
