Pakistan Railways has announced a 10% reduction in fares.
According to the Department of Railways, the fares of all AC classes of express and mail trains have been reduced by 10%.
The economy class fares of all passenger trains have also been reduced by 10%. Officials say that railway fares will be reduced from September 23.
It should be noted that two days ago, after the reduction in the prices of petroleum products, the transport fares in Punjab have been reduced from 40 to 220 rupees.
The fare from Lahore to Karachi has been reduced from 4470 to 4250 rupees, the old fare from Lahore to Mardan has been fixed at 1960, the new fare has been fixed at 1860 rupees.
Swat’s old fare was 2250, the new one was 2140 rupees, and the Lahore to Rawalpindi fare was reduced from 1110 to 1050 rupees.
