Pakistan Moving Steadily Towards Stability And Progress: Field Marshal

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), HI(M), Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces, chaired the 273rd Corps Commanders Conference. The forum offered Fatiha for the martyrs of recent terrorist incidents, including innocent civilians, and paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives defending the homeland against terrorism sponsored by foreign elements.

The Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces highly appreciated the unwavering courage, professional skills, and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Field Marshal Munir stated:
“With joint efforts of the government and Pakistan Army and steadfast support of our people, our country is gradually but surely moving towards stability, broader opportunities, and honor.”

The forum reviewed internal and external security situations, operational preparedness, and the threats posed by terrorism. Participants emphasized decisive action against terrorists, their facilitators, and supporters operating under Indian patronage.

The conference stressed maintaining national unity, the bond between the armed forces and the people, and applauded special development initiatives by the Balochistan government aimed at empowering locals and countering terrorism through social engagement.

Participants reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people and confirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on the Palestine issue.

At the conclusion, the Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces instructed commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, innovation, and battlefield professionalism, ensuring the protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty and regional integrity against conventional, sub-conventional, hybrid, and asymmetric threats.
