Pakistan Is Our True Ally, Friendship Will Last Forever: President Erdoğan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that Pakistan is Türkiye’s true and sincere ally, adding that the friendship between the two countries will last forever. He stated that Pak–Turkish relations will continue to grow stronger and more stable with the passage of time.

Addressing a ceremony related to the induction of naval platforms, President Erdoğan said that after the successful completion of all trials, the modern warship PNS Khyber is being handed over to the Pakistan Navy.

He informed that an agreement was signed for the construction of four MILGEM (National Ship) class warships to meet the operational requirements of the Pakistan Navy, and the project is progressing successfully.

According to President Erdoğan, the first ship PNS Babur was delivered to Pakistan on May 24, 2024, while the third ship PNS Badr will be handed over by the end of June 2026, and the fourth ship PNS Tariq will be delivered in the first quarter of 2027.

He said that these state-of-the-art warships, equipped with modern technology, will significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the Pakistan Navy.

Concluding his address, President Erdoğan reaffirmed that the relations between Pakistan and Türkiye are historic, brotherly, and unbreakable, and will continue to flourish in the future.
