Pakistan Invites Chinese Investors to Discover Rich Investment Gateways

The Pakistan government, in its endeavor to consolidate bilateral cooperation and explore the massive investment prospects, gladly invites dynamic entrepreneurs from China. This declaration comes at the critical point of a round-table meeting when the two nations together reaffirm the total commitment to development of economic ties that are long term.

For a long time now, the friendship between Pakistan and China, called ‘All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partners,’ has been known to be an essential one, especially in the hours of trouble. Such cooperation has been also reinforced by joint initiatives like the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which is a main project of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), started in 2013.

Through the CPEC a new chapter of economic partnership has been opened with the advent of communication infrastructure and energy projects as well as addressing urgent social and economic issues in Pakistan. Along with the progress of CPEC in the second phase, the importance of Chinese State-owned Enterprises and private sector enterprises is forthcoming. With their expertise, resources and investment, this state of affairs looks likely to foster economic growth, technology transfer and job creation within Pakistan which are ingredients of the success of this stage.

Pakistan offers different investment opportunities to be explored in diverse sectors such as infrastructure, energy, agriculture, technology, electronic goods, and manufacturing among others. Its strategic geographical location, its rich natural resources, and its human capital are good reasons for investment and trade trading. The additional advantage provided by favorable market access to key economies, especially China, makes Pakistan a more desirable place for investments.

To assist the Chinese investors in facing the difficulties, Pakistan is committed to make an investment process as simple as possible. The formation of bodies such as The Special Cabinet Committee on Chinese Investment Projects and the Special Investment Facilitation Council, shows Pakistan’s adherence towards creating an environment conducive to investment.

Crucially, The country reassures its Chinese counterparts of comprehensive security measures to safeguard their interests and projects within the country. A firm determination of Pakistan to check every attempt that aims to weaken the friendship of Pakistan and its Chinese friend is the basis of foreign policy of Pakistan these days.

Finally, Pakistan insists on the welcome of Chinese investors to discover and grasp the limitless business opportunities which are ready. These countries are seeking joint efforts that will enable them to build a stronger and mutually beneficial relationship which will eventually exert benefits that will ensure that their citizens prosper.

The roundtable meeting concludes with optimism for the future, as participants look forward to further insights, ideas, and recommendations to propel bilateral cooperation to new heights.
