Pakistan Fought 96-hour War Against India Without External Support: CJCSC

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has revealed that during the recent 96-hour standoff with India, Pakistan relied entirely on its own resources and did not seek help from any foreign country.

In an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC, he said that we relied only on Pakistan’s internal capabilities, and the equipment used was the same as that of India. However, some equipment must have been purchased from other countries.

General Sahir Shamshad said that this time the tension was limited to the cities while there was relative calm on the borders. In the past, there were clashes only in disputed areas, but in the future, conflicts will not be limited to specific areas.

He expressed concern that there is no effective and systematic mechanism to resolve conflicts between Pakistan and India. Emergency contacts are limited only to the DGMOs’ hotline.

He further said that if there is a connection with an extremist mindset, the international community has limited time to intervene, and the role played by other countries, including the United States, this time, is also becoming limited.
