Pakistan Exporters Demand More Relaxation

President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Atif Ikram Sheikh, recently stated that Pakistan is willing to assist the government in achieving the goal of increasing exports to 100 billion dollars.

He emphasized that the export industry should be given incentives in the upcoming financial year budget and that a business-friendly environment is crucial in addressing energy issues. Without such an environment, it will be difficult to reach the target of 100 billion dollars in exports by 2030. In a joint coordination committee meeting with China, the topic of economic zones was discussed.

It is believed that the establishment of industries in these zones will generate employment opportunities in the country. President Sheikh commended the government’s efforts to attract foreign investment in Pakistan and expressed his optimism regarding the positive impact of the recent visit by a Saudi business delegation. He also suggested that investors from other countries, including Saudi Arabia, should be invited to invest in Pakistan to improve the country’s economic situation.
