Pakistan Elected Non-Permanent Member Of UN Security Council

Pakistan has been elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 8th time. The voting took place at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
182 countries including India supported Pakistan’s non-permanent membership, and Pakistan has been elected as a member for 2025 to 2026. Greece, Denmark, Somalia, and Panama were also elected non-permanent members for 2 years
