Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Asim Munir has reiterated his determination to thwart the nefarious intentions of the enemy forces and their facilitators.
According to the Department of Army Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Asim Munir visited Wana district of South Waziristan where he was briefed on the security situation, ongoing anti-terrorism operations and development initiatives in the area.
During the visit, Army Chief General Asim Munir met the officers and men and appreciated their operational readiness and high morale.
Addressing the officers and men, the army chief said that Pakistan Army will defeat all the ambitions of the enemies.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the forces and law enforcement agencies and reiterated their resolve to thwart the nefarious intentions of the hostile forces and their facilitators.
General Asim Munir said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue to provide technical assistance to increase the efficiency of the police.
He appreciated the role of the people in advancing various development projects and reiterated his commitment to utilize all resources for the prosperity and development of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The army chief thanked the tribal elders for their unwavering support against terrorism, laid flowers on the martyrs’ memorial and paid homage to the martyrs.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief was received by Corps Commander Peshawar on his arrival in Wana.
