Pakistan And Turkey Discuss Launch Of Ferry Service

Islamabad – Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, met with the Turkish Minister of Transport to discuss the launch of a ferry service between Pakistan and Turkey. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in shipbuilding, operations, and ship-breaking.

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry invited Turkish investors to invest in Gwadar, which is being developed into a modern maritime hub. The Turkish Minister expressed keen interest in expanding maritime cooperation with Pakistan, while a delegation of Turkish investors is expected to visit Pakistan soon.

The ferry service is expected to boost Pakistan-Turkey trade and tourism. Pakistan also has a 25,000-ton tuna fishing quota, and a maritime conference is planned within the next three months.
