Federal Minister for Trade, Jam Kamal Khan, met today with Bangladesh’s Adviser for Industry, Adel Rahman Khan, in Dhaka to discuss various aspects of bilateral industrial cooperation, investment, and trade promotion.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Mr. Imran Haider, was also present during the meeting.
During the discussions, both leaders emphasized that Pakistan and Bangladesh should leverage their industrial and economic capacities for mutual benefit. Key areas highlighted included food security, food value addition, and industrial technology exchange.
Federal Minister Jam Kamal Khan stated that Pakistan is keen on collaboration, joint projects, and investment in Bangladesh’s industrial sector. He stressed the importance of creating a favorable economic environment under a shared vision to support industrial growth and praised Bangladesh’s achievements in the pharmaceutical, textile, and IT sectors.
The Bangladeshi Adviser for Industry highlighted his country’s industrial growth and increasing needs and expressed keen interest in cooperation with Pakistan. He identified leather, shipbuilding, sugar industry, agricultural processing, and SMEs as potential areas for collaboration.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to jointly promote bilateral trade and industrial development.
