Istanbul: The two-day negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan held in Turkey ended without any concrete outcome. Delegations from both sides discussed key issues, including border security, counterterrorism, and bilateral cooperation, but no agreement or joint statement was reached.
According to diplomatic sources, Pakistan urged Afghanistan to take effective action against terrorist groups operating from its soil, while the Afghan delegation emphasized improving border management and facilitating trade between the two neighboring countries.
The Pakistani delegation was led by senior diplomatic officials, while the Afghan side included high-ranking representatives of the Taliban government. Turkish officials attended the talks as hosts and observers.
Sources added that both sides agreed to continue the dialogue in future rounds to resolve pending issues related to regional stability and border security.
