Pak vs Aus Test, Mohammad Nawaz Substitutes for Noman Ali

Left-arm orthodox spinner Mohammad Nawaz will replace unfit Noman Ali for the ongoing Test series against Australia, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced.

The national selection committee, headed by Wahab Riaz, has supported the choice of Nawaz, who’s as of now a piece of the crew playing the T20I series against New Zealand beginning on January 12.

The 29-year-old bowler will travel to Australia immediately.

The PCB said recently that spinner Noman Ali won’t play in the continuous Australia Test series after he went through a medical procedure.

Noman revealed encountering unexpected and extraordinary stomach torment on December 22. Subsequently, he went through crisis tests and sweeps, which confirmed the determination of an infected appendix.

The PCB revealed that he had a laparoscopic appendectomy Saturday morning at the specialist’s proposal.

Noman Ali is the second Pakistani bowler to have been controlled out of the Test series in Australia on wellness grounds after Khurram Shahzad.

Riaz, boss selector men’s cricket crew, said: “It is truly lamentable that Noman Ali isn’t accessible for the Test matches. Because of strategic difficulties, including visa issues for any new player, and taking into account the prerequisite for a left-arm spinner, Nawaz was the most ideal that anyone could hope to find decision for the side.”

On Abrar Ahmed’s accessibility, the group the executives is confident that Abrar will be accessible to the side for the third Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground, starting from January 3, 2024.

Pakistan will play the second Test in Melbourne on December 26 in the wake of losing the initial round of the three-match series.
