Pak-China Relations Are the Foundation of Regional Peace and Stability: DG ISPR
Rawalpindi: Director General ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in an exclusive interview with a Chinese media group, stated that the Pakistan-China relationship is a cornerstone for peace and stability in the region, and both countries enjoy exemplary cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s greatest strength lies in its people and their unwavering resolve. “After Allah, we rely on our determination. When a nation stands united, the world listens.”
Highlighting global challenges, he noted that the world is currently facing critical issues such as climate change, rapid population growth, and economic instability. “In such circumstances, any unprovoked aggression based on false narratives is unacceptable.”
The DG ISPR made it clear that no country can dominate its neighbors. “The people of Pakistan have never bowed down before anyone, and they never will. For us, martyrdom is more honorable than life itself, whether the uniform is blue, white, or khaki.”
He said both Pakistan and China are responsible states, prioritizing the welfare of their people and the stability of the region. “Our partnership in combating terrorism is a model for others. Terrorism aims to halt development, but we have defeated it and are moving forward on the path of progress.”
Praising China’s rapid development, the DG ISPR said the world should learn from how China has achieved remarkable progress with such a large population in a short time. “The people of Pakistan also aspire for peace, stability, and prosperity, and peace remains our top priority.”
He concluded by saying that today, the people of Pakistan celebrate peace, not war, in the streets. “We thank Allah for His blessings — we are a peace-loving nation. God willing, Pakistan will soon witness rapid development.”
